Somatic Movement Therapy
Finding balance in the nervous system and gaining a more solid foundation in the body is optimal towards well-being and health. Adriana uses a somatic approach to her work with groups where body awareness, mindful movement and group dance are an integral component in her work. She brings a subtle and powerful orientation to somatic movement therapy with individual work. By employing specific somatic techniques to encourage more awareness of the body stories that inform out lives and the patterned postures that shape us, this work can offer new possibilities towards strengthening body image and uncovering the body's vitality.
Adriana is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist
through the International Somatic Movement
Therapy and Education Association (ISMETA)
www.ismeta.org.
Adriana has been inspired and interested in
dance most of her life; since her training
at Tamalpa Institute she has been engaged
in many forms of movement practice - from
yoga to movement-based performance to authentic
movement. Over the last two years Adriana
has been actively involved in the partner
dance community in San Francisco, where she
studies and dances Argentine tango.

Hypnotherapy
Adriana uses hypnotherapy to support clients by working with relaxation techniques, dream recall, regression therapy, active imagination and meditation. Hypnotherapy allows the individual to access their soul aspects by connecting to the issues beyond the apparent physical, emotional or psychological symptoms. By approaching the root of the issue by accessing memories, dreams and old trauma, hypnotherapeutic techniques can help to transform and reclaim the healthy and soul 'full' parts of the personality. This work is useful for all types of issues including depression, anxiety disorders, compulsive behaviors, as well as providing clarity and support for life transitions.
Hypnotherapy is an excellent adjunct to other therapies, providing opportunities for clients to:
- re-pattern old trauma and pain
- discover or expand their spiritual life
- uncover deep memories that block change
- learn to access natural altered states that connect to body awareness and creative inspiration.
Adriana is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, certified
through the Professional Board of Hypnotherapy.
She has completed the Depth Hypnosis Practitioner
Training and Shamanic Studies courses through
the Anam
Cara Foundation.
