Biography
Adriana Marchione, MA, REAT, RSMT, CHT, is a Halprin Practitioner, certified at the Tamalpa Institute, an expressive arts therapy training program in Kentfield, CA. She has a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art, a Masters in Psychology, is a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Adriana is an adjunct faculty member and board member of the Tamalpa Institute.
Adriana has an arts and healing practice in San Francisco where she works with individuals and groups, and has presented workshops and classes at a variety of institutions and organizations throughout the Bay Area including Sonoma State University, Mandana Community Recovery Center, Epiphany Center for Women and Children, and Ohlhoff Eating Disorders Clinic. She specializes in addiction/recovery, and has developed a specific body of work offering creative healing opportunities for people in recovery that complement psychotherapy and twelve-step programs.
In addition to her practice, Adriana works part-time as Art Curator at the California Institute of Integral Studies where she has created an innovative exhibit program called Spirit in the Arts. She has been an exhibiting artist in the medium of photography and mixed-media throughout the United States, has studied and performed movement-based improvisation works; and for the past five years has been dancing Argentine tango in the Bay Area partner dance community. Adriana is currently engaged in exploring the ever expanding role of the arts in modern times.
